Amasia Travel was founded on the belief that travel can help to foster the preservation of ancient cultures, benefit local communities, and protect the environment. We also believe that we can leverage our relationships and successes for the benefit of those who are less fortunate.
Amasia Foundation is a foundation that runs from Amasia Vietnam Travel Co., LTD to give our guests an opportunity to travel more responsibly. We established the Foundation in 2005 to deepen this connection, and return the kindness and generosity that has so touched our lives, as well as the lives of our travelers. Together we embrace the opportunity to give back directly to these communities, year after year.
In early 2006, Amasia Travel pledged to provide treatment to the handicapped living in Bo De pagoda, Hanoi, with the goal of improving their standard of living and helping to ensure their future health and success. When you pay for a journey, you have the opportunity to donate 20 USD to a fund that helps to preserve the culture and nature, or better living conditions in some of our destinations.
Amasia Travel will match each individual traveler's standard contribution. Larger contributions are taken, of course, with great gratitude.
In 2010 Amasia Travel Foundation support for the following projects:
-
The orphanage in Bo De Pagoda, Hanoi, Vietnam (www.chuabode.com.vn)
-
The Cuc Phuong primate Center (www.primatecenter.org)
-
The Cat Ba Langur Conservation Project (www.catbalangur.org)
-
Christina Noble Children Foundation (www.cncf.org)
